The Banished Witch
Derived by a dream of a purple haired woman wearing a floral hat being smooched by a raggedy willowed-hair stud, I built upon the scene to create this rom-com fantasy.
The base concept involves Ebony, a bratty beautiful witch who gets kicked out of her coven, found by a hunky blacksmith Quinn and his canine companion Scortch, and partners with him to save his falling family-business by becoming a tailor. Quinn is using her to make money, Ebony is using him to play with his heart and burn his shop to the ground, structuring the perfect evil plot to get accepted back into her witch-family while sparking a false friendship. And she wants his little dog too.
I've used this idea as the story for my two-semester project at KCAD, creating an animated trailer using Photoshop, After Effects, and a tried-my-best voice-over.
Today I still envison this concept as an animated show, the style inspired by Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt; a cute art-style, but the content is definetly NOT for adults!
